Skytronik - B2C e-business solution
B2C e-Commerce Solution
Skytronik are a mail order company, selling computer components
to system builders and people upgrading their PCs. They operate
in a high volume, low margin sector.
As a rapidly growing business, Skytronik wanted
to explore the benefits of E-Commerce within their operation. After
a period of running a static site, Skytronik concluded that a solution
was needed to integrate their Web site with their Sage Line50 accounts
package.
The initial use of E-Commerce by Skytronik was effective
but resulted in a large amount of duplication and cross-referencing
of pricing and details. This led to inconsistencies in pricing between
telephone orders and online orders. This also restricted the number
of products they could offer on the site as it was very difficult
and time consuming to keep prices up-to-date.
The brief was to develop an e-commerce solution that would allow
them to add products to the site easily and would eliminate the
manual data input of recieved order details into their accounting
system. As an existing Sage Line 50 user, Skytronik
needed an E-Commerce solution to integrate into their existing order
processing and invoicing system.
Fusion developed the 'd-fusion' e-Commerce system
that takes all current product details stored in their accounting
system, Sage, and automatically updates their site.
Additional information such as detailed descriptions,
